Fractional CTO · San Francisco · working remote, worldwide

A technical cofounder you can hire by the week.

I lead and build production software for early-stage teams — AI agent systems, full-stack products, and the platform plumbing underneath. Senior enough to own the architecture, hands-on enough to ship it, and honest about what I haven't done.

What I can be for you

One person, a few different shapes — hire the one you need this quarter.

Fractional CTO

01

Your fractional CTO for a technical leader before you can hire one full-time.

Own the technical direction part-time — architecture, the hard build-vs-buy calls, code review, and early hiring. For founders who need senior judgment now, not a full-time salary.

AI & agent engineering

02

Your AI engineer for production agent systems, not demos.

Multi-step autonomous agents: tool use, orchestration, structured outputs, and eval discipline. Built against Claude and OpenAI in production daily — including the system that wrote this very outreach.

Full-stack product build

03

Your product engineer for the actual product, shipped.

Next.js 15 / React 19 / TypeScript front to back, Postgres on Supabase, Stripe, auth, the works. From a Figma file to a deployed app on a current, boring-in-the-good-way stack.

Rescue & due diligence

04

Your engineer-in-residence for an inherited codebase that behaves.

Take over a codebase and make it safe and fast: migrations, row-level security, CI gates, and the unglamorous production-incident fixes — plus an honest assessment of what you actually have.

Selected work

Shipped, in production, with the scope stated honestly.

AI content & SEO platform

Integrations & platform surface owner

A multi-tenant Next.js content platform where I own the machine-facing surface: a 36-tool API generated from a single Zod manifest with capability-scoped auth, reachable over MCP, REST, and an internal CLI. Plus the unglamorous wins — row-level-security hardening flagged by a production advisor, a fail-safe publish path, and a migration-ordering CI gate.

Built the web application

A freelance marketplace with vetted, instant matches. I built the web app front to back — chat, invoicing, escrow, and Stripe payment flows — reaching ~1K monthly users and $40K revenue.

YourStory

AI education platform

Immersive K–12 education powered by AI: interactive lessons, characters, and personalized journeys — including conversational voice agents, not text-only chat.

How I work

The way I work is the pitch.

01

I tell you what I haven't done

Every proposal I send names the gaps as clearly as the strengths. You'll never find out mid-project that I was bluffing — the honesty is the whole point, and it's cheaper than the alternative.

02

Senior judgment, not just hours

The value of a fractional CTO is the decisions you avoid making wrong. I bill for the architecture that saves you a rebuild, not for filling a seat.

03

A current, deployable stack

I work on what I'd choose for my own product — Next.js 15, React 19, TypeScript, Postgres — so there's nothing to unwind later. This site is built in it.

04

Small teams, real ownership

I do my best work as the person who owns a surface end to end on a small team, close to the founders and the actual users.

Background

I've spent my career as a founding or consulting CTO across five startups — AI education, business-English learning, freelance marketplaces, and a multi-tenant content platform. Since early 2026 I've been hands-on with production AI agent orchestration every day, and I build with these tools constantly — the automated system that surfaced and wrote this outreach is my own. I'm based in San Francisco and work remotely with teams anywhere.

Need a technical leader who can also build it? Let’s talk.
